A fine Kuba powder box_SOLD

This is a good example of a African Tribal Kuba Congo powder box, the crescent shaped box with carved stylized human face and geometric designs. Powder boxes such as this are used to contain camwood power for body and hair decoration, residue of cam-wood can be seen in the box.

Dark aged patina. period: early 20th century, size 31 x 7cm
