A elegant Khmer female standing figure with rounded shoulders and breasts in Samapada position wearing pleated sarong.
This is a Angkor Period figure depicting the goddess Uma (Parvati), the consort of Shiva and Hindu goddess of fertility.
Sculptures of this goddess often appeared in Khmer temples beside Shiva.
Carved in a igneous granite type stone.
Period: circa 10-12th century AD.
