Kofun period (3rd-7th century), circa 500-600.
The hand-built yellow earthenware hollow figure of typical form, the face highlighted by three slit type openings for the eyes and mouth, the nose forehead and ears simply modelled, bearing a truncated jar on its head.
Height 22 cm 8.5 inches.
Mounted on a black lacquered base.
