A rare carved green stone fish carved on both sides probably depicting a salmon, old collection info on back:collected in Illinois in 1931.
The Mississippian or mound builders culture flourished in south west of North America during pre conquest times and were related to the native cultural groups of Central and south America,
they built pyramid type earth structures and produced ceramics and stone wares similar to those found in Mexico, central and South America
