Eshu is the embodiment of the principle of uncertainty in the Yoruba pantheon, he has the attributes of the magician, the trickster and is divine messenger to the Yoruba Orissa(gods)
Eshu is a male deity but often depicted as both male and female. This is superbly carved male figure and a well used specimen.
